Quality Specs Move to the Forefront

Buyers are specifying MgO content and the calcium-to-silica (C/S) ratio more strictly, because slag resistance — not price — decides lining life. Steel-grade DBM with a C/S ratio above 2.0 is increasingly the default requirement for converters and refining vessels.
